Many thanks to all who showed up for our Mt. Greylock Audi Run this past Sunday, 9/22. It was lots of fun, and hopefully next time we have a GTG/drive, we can get even more people. Anyway, here's a bit about how it went.
We all met up in the Ames parking lot in Winsted, CT. There were 4 TT's, 4 S4's (one STG III!), and one Sport. It was great to see the Sport show up to run with us!

Then we hit the road up to Massachusetts. Rt. 8 is a pretty nice driving road, and Wendy led the way up to Lee, including one fairly high-speed U-turn; interesting to watch a line of Audis do the turn together! One silver S4 didn't run with us; I'm not sure what happened to him.

Darned slower traffic!

In Lee, we met up with JHC and her husband. She was originally going to be bringing the Z06, but decided on the TT225Q instead. Not a bad choice, but the Stg III S4 was definitely the horsepower king!

After meeting up with JHC & hubby in Lee, I took the lead. We went back down Rt. 20 to Rt. 8, and took 8 North up to North Adams. I really need a V1, but tried to keep the group moving as well as possible. It was definitely fun watching a whole line of audis blow past a few slow cars on the road!
In North Adams, we stopped to check the maps for the access road to Mt. Greylock. Because they had a great atlas, we 'elected' JHC & her husband to lead. The road into the state park was rough, but the access road wasn't too bad.
WOW! When we hit the mountain access road, we downshifted into 2nd and hit the throttle. The twisties were lots of fun! Probably could have taken them a bit faster, but it was pretty speedy for a group run. I managed to snap a few pics on some fairly straight sections of road.

I never realized how high we had driven until we pulled over at an incredible outlook. Just beautiful, and right next to a very tall cliff. I wish I had snapped a picture there!
We finally all made it to the top. A very nice location!

There is a war memorial there.

Big thanks to all who showed up! We will definitely have to organize another drive, and maybe the rest of you who missed this one can make it. Big kudos to Doc_Dregle who took is Sport on the drive!
