Was thinking of Bellco. I'm closing my Wells Fargo account (for too long and sad of decisions).

Had a FirstBank account. Didn't mind them:)

I avoid WorstBank at all costs. Had an account with them and I got tired of telling the people there how to do their jobs. I'm convinced their tellers receive zero training.

... I really like ING but you need to have a local bank or else plan really well.

me. My GF uses WF and the last time I checked they were going to charge her for online banking which I think is crap in this day and age. If you go into the brick and mortar branches, I can't comment on that as I go to the physical bank maybe 5 times a year. I use ING Direct for my savings as their interest rate was one of the highest when I was looking.

Unlike banks, Credit Unions attach all your accounts as one. If you have a loan with them and run into any type of financial problems that cause you to default or be late on a payment, they can legally sieze all your credit union assets to bring the account current and/or pay it off.

I had a stellar credit record, financial history with them and payment history with them in the past, never late, bought and paid for 3 cars with auto loans from them, currently have the A6 financed through them.

Last summer because of a horrible financial situation, we were forced to file Chpt. 13 Bankruptcy. The day we filed and Bellco was notified, they immediately began repo proceedings for the A6. We had never been late, and in fact the loan on the A6 was not even part of the bankruptcy (we excluded all secured debt from the filing). My lawyer called them, the bankruptcy court notified them the car loan was not included, even sent them a court order to stop the proceedings. We finally had to re-file the bankruptcy and include the car in the filing which in turn has now screwed Bellco because they are being forced to accept a payoff that is $4,000 less than what the actual payoff would have been. The day we filed, they froze $7,500 in assest at Bellco and Public Service CU as well that we had. The court orderd them to give us the monies, but they still kept $1,500

My wife had been with First Bank for 30 yrs, but recently we switched to US Bank, kinda they same problems with them that others have had with Wells Fargo.

Why we had to file Bankruptcy to begin with
