Okay, everybody! I think I can finally find a
subject that almost everyone on The Forum can
agree on: RESOLVED - Far too much journalistic
and engineering talent(?) has been wasted on
CUPHOLDERS. The pocket protector crowd at
Consumer Reports and the minivan interior
gurus deep within the bowels of the Chrysler
Corp. have convinced Middle America that the
value of a vehicle is directly proportionate
to the number of, and adjustability of, its
CUPHOLDERS! So, I propose that at 10:00 P.M.
EST on Feb.29,1999, all like - minded DRIVING
enthusiasts join me on the beach at Jacksonville,
Fla. to offer up as many cupholders as we can
to the Spirits of our driving forefathers!

I just installed a custom cupholder in the center console bin, and don't use the pop ups any more.
Christian J. Long

In the spirit of not using the pop-up cup holders, does anyone know the part number of the storage compartment that replaced the pop-up holders on the 99's? I would rather have a functional storage compartment then the useless things that are wasting space.
-Trevor
You can have my a4 cup holders because they are worthless. German engineering at its best.
