Stoptech overnighted a new set of rotors and 2 sets of pads to the track here in Hallett for us, priority delivery. They were supposed to be here no later than noon. After that didn't happen, I called UPS, who told me that overnight in this region means they can deliver anytime.
After trying to send a message to the driver and get the freaking message center to call me back, I finally heard from the regional center saying the driver would be here 20 minutes ago! ARGH! We ran the whole day on crappy brakes and are now parked outside the track waiting for this mofo.
Then I get to swap over the pads and rotors (after washing the rotors with soapy water, that'll be easy to find I'm sure), then bed them in, then drive 700 miles to IRP, getting in at 3am again.
I'd like to point out that Fed Ex has been to the track 3 times this morning!
dammit.

I moved here from NH - I shipped 4 large boxes which were mostly clothes and a few other things... I traveled with just one suitcase of clothes, none of which were business clothes or things I'd need for interviews (except a suit coat and pants and shoes).
As it turned out, the ******* delivery man came to my door while I was out hiking, left a note on the door, and then went to the apartment building office where I was living, the office people told him the boxes were too big, and he accepted their signature and returned them to sender... it had already been a week, now I get home, call UPS, and find out my boxes are on the way back to NH via ground, and that I was going to have to pay again to have them shipped to me.
It literally took me 6 hours of different customer support calls before finally I found someone who agreed that they had screwed up and I ended up being transferred to some uber customer service rep who called up the idiots in commerce city. Within 10 minutes, I get very apologetic phone call from the rude bitch of a woman in commerce city who told me there was nothing she could do... now her tune is changed and she told me they would be absorbing next day air costs as soon as it got back to NH... I told her I wanted next day air AM. I got it. Total cost on the next day air AM shipping for the packages had I shipped them was a grand.
I think that driver lost his job.
UPS sucks. I'll go fed ex from now on with anything important.

Just have the person driving tomorrow get the most sleep.
Just bed them in along the way - ride your brakes for a few miles after you get on the highway, then they'll be able to cool back down before you need to brake again.
Are you having fun yet?

They recommended a very aggressive bedding in process, there's no way we can do it on the road. They want 10 stops from 50-10, then ten from 70-10, then ten from 100-10.
We passed through a huge thunderstorm that put alot of standing water on the road, they said we can't do the bedding in process unless it's totally dry out.
He also recommended not using the new rotors, said I was better off with the old ones as they've already been heat cycled.
Even tho I glazed the pads, he thinks something else is wrong, that it's not a pad/rotor issue, that I have air in the lines still or something.
I'm inclined to not put any of this new stuff on and try to get a really good bleed and see what happens, then deal with this once I get home. I don't really want to use a bunch of expensive parts if I don't really need them.

FedEx always leaves a door tag at my house and won't leave anything else at the door. Why bother delivering when I *know* nobody will be home?
Just today I had a pair of tires arrive from Tirerack. A single tag on the door - head to the distro center - two tires come out. What about the other two? They're not here yet. Huh? Oh yea, efficiency at its peak for all parties. I'll be making another trip to the distro center tomorrow or Friday to get my other two tires. Bah. Always happens with Fed Ex. PITA - UPS usually comes after 5 PM and the USPS just leaves it on my porch.

We had to ship bid documents for a $2MM project that we were favored for. We spent over a week working on that bid, including many late nights.
UPS would guarantee delivery by 10.30am.
They attempted delivery at <b>6.30am</b> ... receiver wasn't open till 7.30am ... so it stayed on the truck until 3.00pm --> we missed the bid cutoff. UPS said "too bad"
