I have experienced just as much, if not more, racism living in Boulder for the past 6 years, than I have living in Lakewood all of my life.
I just stopped by Qdoba where I overheard a couple say, with me looking right at them (because I noticed that they were staring at me), "He looks like him." Or something to that effect. Him, being the VT shooter.
WTF?!
Keep that **** to yourself

I enjoy landscaping projects on our house in Boulder. One day, while I was working out front, an aging hippie, granola neighbor (a teacher at a liberal private school that drives a Subaru wagon with the usual "World Peace" and "Gore for President" stickers) stops by. I thought she was going to say hi, but instead she asked if I could work on her yard next ;)
I just looked at her, so she started to repeat it slowly -- immediately turning bright red when I replied: "why sure, if you don't mind cleaning our toilets. Comprende?"

Man, what idiots. Yes, Boulder like every city has their share.
One of the many reasons that Boulder has the rep that it has.
It always puts a goofy smile on my face to drive through Boulder in the Excursion, even more so with the skull attached.
