I've followed this car since befor this site was up. I have to be one of the most loyal and longest standing fans of this site. Jason, Ive said it before your site is awesome. But are there any others like me that have lived vicariously off of other a4 owners on this site, and still don't know when they will be able to get one.

PJ 95 Nissan Sentra, automatic, no tach, 13in wheels, one hub cap missing, infant seet permanently attached to the back seat, and desperately clinging to the hope that I'll join the legions of a4 owners one day. 1.8tqms with wet/tap/ams chip of course.
I have no idea when I'll get an A4, but my lust for the car has been used to help Jason bring this site to what it is now.
For now, I'm happy with my other 2 Audi's. I figure the two of them put together almost creates an A4. :)
Matt

Took a couple of years before I was able to convince Herself that it was worth doing.
We tend to buy cars and keep them a while...so she was not ready to get rid of the old car "early" (i.e., less than four years). While the more fiscal minded side of myself agreed, it was a drag.
Amazingly, she's now ready to buy a new Bug. In addition to her SUV. Fiscal caution to the winds. I must say, the Bug does have sex appeal - it's won over my tight-fisted, MBA bearing wife. "Maybe we could just lease one" she says, lease being a five letter-four letter word, previously.

Greg,
I have a new bug that's just been replaced by a 99 A4 2.8QMS. Are you interested? If so, reply via email and I'll send you details.
Regards,
Fergus

Add me to the list. I've been lusting for one for quite some time and this site has only made my desire worse. Fortunately I should be able to place an order in May and I can't wait!!

Have wanted an Audi since driving my friend's mother's 4000S on prom night in the mid-80s. Audi Group B rally cars sealed the lust forever and when I saw the A4, I had an epiphany. The A4 is the car for me. I am on this site EVERY DAY!
The wife says maybe this next year. Don't cry for me, though. The longer I wait, the closer I come to being able to afford the S4.
Cheers everyone (from Austin, TX)!

Gotta agree with the S4 comment, if I have to wait until 2000 i'll have a much better chance at an S4 also.
Who knows when, however.
As we drive my wife knows when we are near an A4. I make some type of noise, then do everything I can to get closer to it.
I too suffer from the extremely money conscious wife syndrome. It doesn't help that she looks at cars as pure transportation. Get from point A to point B.
Currently, if I could have one it would be a Laser Red Avant 1.8TQMS. Then a chip, 17" wheels, springs, etc.
That seems to be the only good thing about being a "luster" and not an owner. You can change your mind about which A4 you want without spending any $$!!
This is a great site, and I come here daily to see what is going on with all of your cars. If Cathleen takes the time to read this, a picture of her car is the wallpaper on my computer.

98 Civic LX 1.6 Anemic M
96 Civic LX 1.6 Anemic Auto.
Jay Nemec
I live in NYC, and don't really make enought to support having a car here. But.....
I really want an A4. Every time I see one, I just stop and stare.
