Ive put about 4 hours in over a couple of night this week and its almost out. It will be out by the end of the weekend though. Disconnect the bell housing, and a couple of remaining lines and we're out. I am really torn on what I want to do with it once its out though. It will depend on what damage is in the motor but I am debating between just putting 1.8 forged internals in it if its alright internally as far as scoring, but if theres severe damage internally I don't know if I want to build a 2.0 or put an s4 motor in it? I guess we will have to see.

I've always wanted the 2.0 but whatever went wrong in the engine couldn't have come at a worse time. I just don't have any money, the only up side is that it is winter and I wouldn't have much of a chance to drive it anyways.

There is an AZG crank for sale on the Vortex for 200 bucks. 92.8mm stroke, and its forged. 83mm pistons and you have 2008cc. Probably fine if you dont want to make 30000billion hp.... I was going to get that, but I may end up with the eurospec.....

I figure I should probably just be patient and do it right.

If its under 500-600, the OEM crank is probably just dandy. Havent seen one break yet.

so for now 400ish but once I get some money for the top end and a new turbo, we are hoping for a realistic 500-600 since I dont think anything more would really be fun to drive on the street or a real track that has corners.
