If I can't get ahold of another tow vehicle, I am thinking of towing the corolla behind the Audi.

Things to consider...

1) Towing capacity? I searched the forums and someone mentioned Audi A4 can tow 1800kg. Corolla is only 2400lbs in current state. Can anyone verify this? Even so, all I can find for Audi A4 trailer hitches is a Dalan hitch witch is only rated for 2000 lbs.

2) Who sales a hitch for this car?

3) Trailer no can do. Too heavy.

4) Tow dolly? Will that be a problem on a lowered A4? If I go this route, any suggestions for pulling a RWD vehicle? Forward or backwards?

5) Pull the car flat behind the Audi?

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

I would definitely go with flat tow, you want to keep the weight as low as possible. Also, with a tow bar there won't be any tounge weight and that is what will drive your car down and 'bob' it as you drive. I find my trailer pulls better with 500 lbs in the very back to reduce tounge weight.

The hitch is only rated for 2000lbs., but my guess is that you would be fine pushing that number a bit. I think legislation probably makes them go lower than is probably any kind of actual limit. I'm not promising anything, but that would be my guess. The hitch that guy made on the B5 A4 forum is WAY better than the one I bought. It has way more attachment points to the body, and distibuting that load would be great.

Lastly, avoid coming to a stop on hills with that kind of load. I've got way more torque, and it's a little rough on the clutch to get things going from a standstill on a steep grade.

That's all I have to contribute, good luck and let us know how it goes!
