my totaled B7 A4 is almost ready to go to auction, and i'd like to pull the wheels off so i have a winter set. im looking for something that wont look too terrible so that maybe i wont get called on it. ideally, some older audi wheels already mounted with crap tires. i think the minimum size to fit the calipers on a B7 is 16". i'd also like to hear your moral support/objections in doing this. considering that the ins company is only giving me $32k on a 4 month old 06, i don't have too many ethical qualms about stickin' it to the man.

These stock wheels are in good shape with pretty worn tires.

I also could piece together an ugly set of B5 S4 Avus for cheap (possibly $250) if they would take cracked wheels that won't hold air. It was in a wreck right and they are giving you the shaft no? ;)

basically as cheap as possible is the way to go. i'm thinking i might have a hard time actually doing the switch. im not sure what the shop will think about all this.

I have a friend considering buying them but if he balks, then you can if you want.
