DPD, has several unmarked. Coming home from downtown an hour ago, dark blue charger in sitting on 25 against the HOV divider. I went by him at 63 trying to pass another car to get over and exit the highway. The hidden lights on them area bit on the scary side. No ticket though, he let me off with a warning, I NICELY explained to him what I was doing, and he NICELY explained that I should slow down. Wasn't in the car, in the pickup.

but I have to admit that the local P.D.s have been more than good to me. I have been pulled over multiple times in the past few years doing really stupid stuff (even thought I was going to jail once) and they have all let me off with a warning. Haven't been pulled over yet in the RS6 believe it or not. Could be the USMC plates.

That 6.1L Hemi puts some power down.

I figured the 5.7 Hemi at most, but not the 6.1L. Flat out ridiculous if that's the case.

he said they are going to replace half their fleet with them, and the rest will be Crown Vics.

I guess that's good for testing purposes. They seem to do well though.

do you think that kind of power is really necessary for a police cruiser? I'm all about providing the police with the best equipment possible but this just seem a little over the top. You would think the 5.7L with 340hp is more than adequate for the job considering most cars out there barely push the 200-250hp ranges. The cost of the 6.1L vs. the 5.7L must have been substantial. Not giving you a hard man...just would like to hear what you think.

The car comes as a police package and is actually pretty well put together. You have to figure it's heavier than the standard Charger with all the consoles, cage and other police equipment. It's built to be a do all cruiser. Patrol, pursuit, etc. Plus I think a lot of people would seriously rethink trying to outrun one of those.

but those knuckle heads that run are so lost in the sauce it wouldn't matter if you were driving Dodge Vipers. I suppose Chrysler cut you guys a phat deal considering you bought in bulk. I still think whoever proposed the 6.1 Charger idea is shocked as sh!t that he actually pulled it off.

You don't always have to use the power, but it sure is nice to have on tap.
