Well, got a nice kill today, totally unintended but cool none the less.

Took the Audi down to get it washed and an detail done (wash,wax,carpets,mats,tires,wheels). Anyhow, left the car wash and stopped at the PS2 gaming store a few blocks up. As I was leaving, I could hear a car coming towards me with a turbo spooling up. About that time I noticed a brand new Saab 9-2X coming past with Demo plates on it.

At the light, I had my window down, and they had the windows down on the Saab, guy driving, wife in passenger seat, salesman in back. At the light they were next to me, I heard the salesman comment "see what I was saying about the power this thing has, take that Audi next to us, you could easily take him from the light"

My ears perked up, did I hear a challenge issued forth? There was no other Audi's around, must have been me. I glanced left, the guy was still chatting, the light went green, the salesman said floor it.

I was in TIP mode so I was not as quick in the up-shifts from 1-2. So he got a slight jump on me, I caught and passed him in flash. At the next light I was waiting for them to pull, hmmm, the windows were all rolled up, and there didn't seem to be anyone talking inside the car. I waved, they didn't wave back, I'm hurt. At the next light they made a U-turn and went back the other way.

I jumped over and made a U-turn as well, at the intersection in front of the dealership, I noticed that they were waiting to turn in.

I wonder, did they loose the sale??

aka sister cars. Then I know I can take those vehicles off the line, as longs as I nail my launch. But then again, I am not a drag racer and I don't pratice launching. Plus, street racing is not my cup of tea.

I am not just saying that because you are soon to be the man (btw give your old employers hell once you are the man), I haven't really tried street racing since, well ever, never had a decent car til after college (when I bought my first 1.8T) and now I don't see the point.

They didn't have any with manuals, so not sure how much different they would be... I think significantly faster though, the automatics took FOREVER to spool up.

went to the Saab website to look at some numbers, even with the upgrade motor, it's still only 227HP. Granted it's a lighter car, but it's not that much lighter and it's AWD.
