I just got my car back from RS Motorsports, near I-70 and Wads in Arvada (5440 Marshall). He's primarily a VW guy but dabbles in Audi's.

I had them replace my front right wheel bearing in my 01 A4. My original estimate over the phone was $270 for the job (@ $70 for the bearing kit). When all was said and done, my bill ended up being $350 due to his supplier not being able to deliver the correct bearing kit. He ended up getting one from the stealership for $118.

Brad's a pleasant guy to work with. He reminds me a lot of Frank, the fruity designer on Trading Spaces, only without the lisp. He's going to be dealing in APR products soon, with a tech in training right now.

Admittedly, I was somewhat miffed about the variance in my bill and the original estimate. ASW gave me an estimate over the phone of $249 (Euroservice quoted $370), and they're a heck of a lot closer to me, but I wanted to give this other indy shop a chance. The new bearing is in there, and everything's nice and quiet again. He had to cut one of my bolts off since it was pretty ceased and spent most of the day wrestling with it. ASW also has a 2 week waiting list, and RS was able to get me in with little notice.

In short, I'm satisfied with the work. If I gotta have work done again, and I can't wait 2 weeks for ASW, then I'd go to him again, only next time I'll bring my own parts.
