I was wondering if anyone has ever tried the "Farm Crest" gas station's 93 octane before? I am sick of this 91 crap and want to know if their gas is of good quality. The reason I ask about this one is because I live pretty close to it. It is located as in the subject line, in Denver.

i've been running the last two tankfuls with it and the car is running much more smoothly now. not necessarily more powerful, but the car just feels better

I stopped using it and haven't had any problems since. I had used about 4 tankfuls before I had to stop.

for 93 octane at least, probably the gas is old.

I'll try to stop by the one on Parker and Quincy whenever I get the chance since I work reasonably close to it.

Talked to a buddy of mine who is an Audi Tech and he said there is a reason why 93 octane is not common in Colorado.

I have a 1.8T w/KO4 and I used to live in MN w/this setup. We had 92 octane and that was at any gas station you go to, also 93 was also pretty common. There is definately a difference between the 91 shell I use here and the 92 shell I used in MN. My avg mileage is down (used to get 25-26, now I get 23-24 highway/city combined) and at lower rpms the engine is a little more jerky. I have been back and forth 2 times already with my car in the past 3 months and when I fill up in MN my car runs better then with the gas out here.

Oh, and I still can't believe they sell that 85 octane crap. I thought they stopped making that grade in the 80's. Plus I know gas is oxygenated and has 10% ethanol (usually), which decreases the efficiency of fuel, but doesn't high altitude gas have higher levels of oxygen then fuel used at sea levels (in order to aid in startup due to less dense air)?
