Plan is to leave SLC late on 10/31 (after Halloween festivities) & drive to Colorado Springs to see the U. of Utah vs. AFA on Saturday. Then catch the Broncos vs. Patriots game Monday night the 3rd.

I know it is too early to tell what the weather will be like - should I plan on having the snow tires on for the road trip? I usually throw them on the first to mid Nov. depending on the weather.

Not sure which route to take yet. might take the shortest route there since it will be late at night/early Saturday a.m. & take the scenic raod home on Tuesday.

It's already been colder & wetter in the mtns than last year at this time. Looks like Mt Evans had a good dusting of snow last night about 12,000 ft.

if the weather is going to be great or not. But if there is any hint of fronts coming in at any time during the period (or even coming close to this area) then I wouldnot take the chance.

halloween is traditionally the first night of really nasty weather on the front range.

I'm in need of a co-driver. My wife doesn't want to go, and the other people I've asked all have plans for that weekend.

Plus, I'll may have a neat surprise for anybody that's my co-driver (but I'm going to keep it a surprise in case it doesn't work out...)
