i got pulled over today for going 60 in a 45. not a huge deal..only 57 dollars, but it said 4 points? i am registered in PA. here are my two questions. first, since i am from PA, do these points NOT transfer over? and second, is 4 points correct for 15 over? in pa it is one point every 5 over. I know in pa if they incorrectly write the number of points, the ticket is thrown out. is any of what i have heard true? thanks a lot. i'm going to fight it regardless to reduce the fine and hopefully the points, but if you guys have any good info, being that you are from the state, that would be great.
Thanks a lot.

you would be assessed the points awarded by your state.

It was 6 points, 4 if no contest and pay by mail on time. My wife got stopped for >20 over and had to go to court, it was still 6 points, she got it reduced to 2.

I've had JUST a bit of experience.
4 points IS correct (10-19 over is a 4 pt violation)
The ticket NOR the points will carry to PA. Do you even have a CO licence? if not, why are you even worried?
You'll never get the fine REDUCED, only fewer points, however you WILL pay a higher fine for LOWER points if you try to fight it.
State law- even if the cop gets the color/plate #/your address/or even the point violation wrong on the ticket, it is NOT grounds for dismissal. They passed a state law to that effect some 20 years ago.
Suggestion:
read the ticket (the cop should have told you this as well) if you mail it in within 20 days, the points will drop to 2 (That's what I'd do, or else hire a lawyer) Again, if you are NOT a registered Colorado driver, I'd just pay it and forget about it
Give me some more info.... are you just visiting CO and this happened? are you recently relocated to CO? Are you living here and trying to maintain a different state DL? (I've done these things :) don't worry)

i go to usafa, so i'll be moving around alot after i graduate. i'm going to keep my pa registration, honestly, bc i like not having the front plate. i'm out of colorado next may, so i'm not planning on getting a co license anytime soon. if the points will reduce to two if i mail it in, i guess i'll just do that to save the hassel. but if i'm not going to get them anyway...who cares right? thanks a lot for all of your answers. where are you in colorado?

I live in Longmont, just north of Boulder
I agree, I think your best course of action is to mail it in, pay the fine, take the 2 points (since they won't matter for ANYTHING) and call it good. Probably won't show up for anything at all so it won't affect your insurance either!
Good luck!

Colorado does not report to other states but you can accumulate enough points while driving in Colorado with an out of state license to lose your right to drive in the state. As far as the points go.
