View Full Version : For Sale: Werks of Art GFB Plumback BPV for 1.8T randy@5280 11-12-2002, 12:38 PM Asking $90 OBO. GFB has been used for approximately 1k miles. Looking for local Denver sale only. Got a pic of it? randy@5280 11-12-2002, 01:52 PM I purchased this valve from Juan @ Werks of Art earlier this Summer as I had heard a lot of great things about the WOA BPV. Used it for 1k miles, then switched back to my old valve. The GFB works great- I just happen to like my Forge BOV better. I don't have any use for 2 valves, so I'm getting rid of this one. Don't have any pics though- If you're local, you can have a look at it in person. I have a couple of offers on it, but nothing finalized as of yet. Sugar T2 11-12-2002, 02:08 PM just bring it to the next meet Sugar T2 11-12-2002, 02:09 PM I would like a BOV but I always thought they caused problems. randy@5280 11-12-2002, 02:33 PM Have not had any issues with drivability, CELs, fuel economy, or idle. Checked my spark plugs a couple weeks back and the electrodes look fine. I feel that the BOV feels stronger and works better for me- Better pull, and better response. I could care less about the sound. If the BOV didn't perform up to expectation, believe me, I'd be keeping the GFB. Many on here will tell you that a BOV is not good for our cars, but in all respect how many of them have actually installed and experienced first hand how a BOV performs? Sugar T2 11-12-2002, 03:20 PM Where did you buy the BOV from? randy@5280 11-12-2002, 03:38 PM I believe Forge still offers it, though any of the BOVs should work fine on a non-DBW car. Sugar T2 11-12-2002, 03:39 PM randy@5280 11-13-2002, 07:15 AM The Forge takes the place of the BPV, unlike the others that work in conjunction with the BPV (a la LLTek). But... You can get special adaptors for the HKS that will allow installation to eliminate the BPV. |
