I've mentioned in previous posts my driving conditions out here in colorado. and you had mentioned the tire nokian and im just curious which kind nokian would be best for me? im lookin at both going with studs or studless...so what kind do you think would be best? ....thanks

...of the game, for high performance snow tires. That said...this year, for my S6, I just picked up a set of Nokian Hakkapeliitta NRW-V's, as I really do far more dry pavement than snow in the winter, they're V rated (rather than H, like the Hakk 1's), and bottom line: I could get them in 255/40R17 to fit on my stock Avus rims. Unless you're really spending all your time in the snow, and staying off the dry pavement but only rarely, you don't want to go with studs. The Nokian Hakkapeliita 1's are one of the most aggressive (and high performance) non-studded performance tires on the market, surpassed only perhaps by the Bridgestone Blizzaks (but they won't perform or hold-up as well on the dry pavement). I'll be paying close attention, this winter, to the difference between the 1's and the NRW-V's; particularly on the winter race track in Steamboat, but I'm expecting high marks, from what I've heard from others who've tried the NRW's last winter.
