I work/live between 7500 and 9500 feet and
have heard (somewhere) that some chips don't
adjust very well at high altitude. Anyone here
have any experience with chips above 5000 ft?
Thanks

I make weekly trips to the mountains to ski, ride bike, etc. I plan to chip the GTI soon (GIAC).

Good way to blow your turbos, especially on a K03ed car.
Took me about 15k chipped miles to blow my K03s. :( Mainly on the X chip because I had boost deviation problems with APR.
BTW, where do you live?

seeing as how they're blowing turbos all the time, even at sea level. A chipped 1.8t is fine at this altitude.
with MTM chips in UrS4 and UrS6; live at 7500 feet.

I'm in New Mexico - near Alamogordo/White Sands.
So, why did you have troubles and others haven't?
