Just got my A4 1.8T Avant w/ sport package this summer. I want a winter oriented tire that still performs well on dry road. Been reading about the Dunlop M2's. Any body got some experience with these goin up I-70 in the winter?

I have them on my A6 2.7 6spd. They have been great for me. In fact, I was in no hurry to switch them out for the summer tires and didn't do so until July.
They are good in snow and ice (there are better purely snow tires though), and feel like all season tires in the dry. Surprisingly, they seemed quieter and smoother after 8k miles than the SP9000 summer tires that had after similiar mileage.
HTH!

I have a set of Michelin Arctic Alpins on 15" steel w/ covers that I'm looking to sell...don't fit on my S. Used for 1 winter, for about 8-10k, I'd say. $225 obo. Paid over $500 new, and they definitely have better than half their life left.
They are a little, ummm, squishy feeling though in the corners :P

They work quite well, used them last season, drive to Vail every weekend, no complaints.
