Basically, my friends (married couple) may move there because he received a job offer. Currently they live in Manhattan, so are used to being in the midst of action. They'd be looking to buy a condo or a home. Any suggestions on neighborhoods?

I would say more city people for sure .. they're fairly young (30ish) .. they love dining out mostly, and the beach

prices in Coronado will fell like NY.

That being said, condos downtow are way cheap right now and there are lots of thing for NY'ers to do.
