Access to the site is pretty good, a couple spots on the dirt road are rocky is all (this is for those who might go and are a tad low). I had a rental GTI out this road going to an off-road race and I was probably doing 40mph except for the short rocky section The surface of the lake is pretty much smooth, so if you've wanted to try this here's your chance! There are no "services" within 15 or 20 miles fyi

Also, you don't need some fully prepped car. We've used rentals. Our 4000 has coilovers and a whopping 100hp and we still do just fine against our competion (subies with over 300hp!).

Besides they are offering RENTALS ON SITE!!!

Anyway, enough of my whining! There are always rally-x events. Usually 10 or so a year here. There's another one out in Lucerne in Nov and in Dec. There was one a couple weeks ago in Del Mar

A cheap rental is a fun alternative if you have no "suitable" car. HP is not essential! Driving skills are! It is soooooo fun tho!

I'd definitely be into renting a car for a rally day. I think it would be hard to think of a more fun way to spend some time... Looking forward to more news....
