What's a cool place to go tonight? Anything going on? Cool clubs/bars/pubs? My wife and I are in San Clemente, will be in Carlsbad later, and will travel to San Diego or LA for something interesting to do (San Diego being an easier drive, since I'll be leaving from Carlsbad). Any input appreciated, thanks all.

Lots of shops as well. There is a mall down there that is outdoor with five floors and mosiacs hanging from the walls. If you like the bar scene there are plenty in Pacific Beach (PB) Off Garnett avenue. Just go from one to the other. Lots of younger people though but lots of drinking as well. The more Classy bars/ clubs for the middle age crowd are up in the Encinitas area...

kinda confirms what I was thinking of doing. We're having dinner with a friend in Carlsbad, but will be looking to go out afterwards. I saw a lot of listings for places on Garnett (on citysearch), so I think maybe we'll head that way. Any particular bars you recommend?
