From the searching the forum posts I guess I should change the oil on my 2.0T and rotate the tyres.

I guess I could do it myself, though would need to spend the money for the ramps, and perhaps a better jack.

Any gotcha's, i.e. any wheel alignment need checking / doing?

What's the going rate in the bay area for this work?

I know, but the dealer recommended a rotation, and I've read here that a lot of people recommend an oil change on the 2.0T due to the turbo.

And I recommend 5K Oil Changes in anything with a Turbo. If you want to be quick... use a PELA sucker, and just swap the oil out... the Filter should be fine for 10K.
