got your call ian, glad you were able to take advantage of the powder.

we headed up via 88, which was shut down on saturday, then some HUGE delay set us back 3 hours on sunday, we didn't see kirkwood till 12:00pm and it was full, our only option was to continue onto 50 to hit sierra or heavenly, sierra's parking was full so that was not an option, we ended up at the heavenly gondola after a quick lunch it was 3pm, my friend did not want to pay $55 for a couple hours.

soooooooooo close, yet so far =(

and to add salt to the wound, the cables on the tires ate away at his fender so i have to take him to my bodyshop later this week. we pretty much drove around for 14 hours.

I ended up getting a late start and ended up at Heavenly myself. I got to Myers after 3o minutes of traffic on Pioneer(of all roads to be bumper to bumper?) and looked to see "Lot Full" on the CalTrans sign, busted a U turn and ended up at Heavenly round 11ish. Next time man!

i got "lucky" and early starts both mornings to beat the traffic... and get rockstar parking at Alpine Meadows. got 1st chair on Saturday and 4th chair yesterday. lots of fresh tracks.

i did get caught in yesterday's traffic leaving AM, so i detoured to Squaw and had dinner while waiting for the traffic to die down.
