It's 40 degrees in Davis. COLD. Audi-Sav 12-17-2005, 03:23 PM That's half of a GTG, getting to ogle everybody's rides. The other half of course is the eating, drinking, talking but it would be nice to be able to all park together. S4SeanO 12-17-2005, 03:56 PM Good to meet some new people, see the new A3 3.2 Quattro and see the many Audi's parked around the side streets. Very cool! 2FST4CHP 12-17-2005, 05:17 PM I was very tempted but chose to save it for another time rather than possibly spread my cold around. Good job on continuing these gtg's as it will truly strengthin a truly great group of enthusiasts. My daughter just came home from Davis and it's just as fvcking cold here! Have a good weekend...till Thunderhill!!! kalivornian 12-17-2005, 07:57 PM -and yea we need to rope that lot off 'Audi Parking only' :) SAC-CA-GTI 12-18-2005, 01:53 AM Gordo 12-18-2005, 12:12 PM Next time I wanna hear the full back. ;-) Gordo 12-18-2005, 12:15 PM I'm thinking about Thunderhill seriously now. Is it worth it for someone who's never been on the track before? BTW my burger was amazing. I'll be back there again. BulletS4 12-18-2005, 12:17 PM S4SeanO 12-18-2005, 01:41 PM Shoot me an email and I'll keep you posted on the exhaust progress. I'll now keep my eyes peeled in the Palo Alto/mid-peninsula area for my Nogaro twin! I was on a high for a week after, at least! Sia Bani 12-18-2005, 10:07 PM Gordo 12-18-2005, 11:26 PM Gordo 12-18-2005, 11:33 PM I assume that means I'm gonna get to *drive* my car. I'm really looking forward to finding out what it can really do. Do I need better tires, brake pads or anything? I've still got stock everything after all this time, so a couple upgrades wouldn't be out of the question if that would help... Sia Bani 12-19-2005, 09:20 AM of prior to the event, but if you're servicing your car regularly, you'll be fine! Andrew C. 12-19-2005, 03:24 PM you'll be finding out more about what you can do vs. the limits of the car. yes, even in stock form. for example, i was a passenger while Randy Pobst drove my car around Infineon/Sears Point on street tires. i thought the tires were squealing during my sessions and about to break loose while i was driving (i lost the rear-end a bit earlier in the day), but he was taking the turns so much faster. go, have fun, learn, drive within yourself and as you get a better feel for your machine, you will drive faster and smoother. Sia Bani 12-19-2005, 03:28 PM to on our B6 S4s. Our brakes are more than adequate, bite well, and you will most likely not push them enough to make them fade. I will be pushing harder this time, so I'll really get to see how the stock pads hold up at their limit. Gordo 12-20-2005, 08:58 PM I read someone's account of a 2000 B5S4 on thunderhill that said the stock rotors/pads couldn't keep up, but if you have experience with the B6 stockers faring ok, then I'll take it as is. |
