If you have the Bose package, first look above the left wheel well above the tool box and CD changer and see whether you have an amp. If yes, look under your rear carpet between the wheel well and the rear seat. Is there not a subwoofer already there?

I replaced the stock (Read crappy) subwoofer with a self contained and powered "Kicker PS60". The removal of the stock sub was not an easy deal according to my local audio shop who did the installation. No problems whatsoever with skipping of the CD. You can't believe how much better the stock bose/concert system sounds with a real subwoofer. It does take up a little room in the hatch back portion of the car though.<br>Ben Avant 98.5 qms 2.8 with Kicker sub.

I have a 98.5 1.8QTMS with Bose and I thought the 2 rear speakers were the only low range spekers. Am I wrong????

i checked with my dealer, although the guy said hr wasn't a radio man, he said that plate was to cover the fuel sending unit.

I have the Bose radio w/ cd in my 98.5 A4QM - Is the amp attatched to the deck lid in the trunk to run the rear speakers. Can I run a bazooka tube off this amp? I am confused with the subwoofer issue and if I have one or not???? please help - anyone

The subwoofers are only on the avants, they are in the left rear 1/4 panel, just infront of the c/d changer. The black cover with the screews is for the fuel sending unit.
