any good info on them. I found ESPNRusselRacing at Infineon but I thought there were more than a couple of them around. Skip Barber comes to mind off the top of my head. Any suggestions guys? Worth it/not worth it? Any better ways to spend $500-$1000? Thanks,

None of the good ones go only for one (1) day. The 2-3 day courses at Russell Racing and Skip Barber run about $2500+. There are highway survival course (3/4-1 day event), but that is probably not what you want. You gotta provide more info..you wanna use your car..or theirs...open wheeled or closed. One day, two days or multiple days?

BTW, I attended the 2-day SCCA race licensing school about 2.5 years ago at Thunderhill. For that event, you had to bring or rent a fully prepared race car. The event itself was only $495..but the rental car fee would have been $750-1000 per day, depending on car and service provided.

Insurance compaines will cover driving schools not racing.
only thing was I was a bit paranoid of running off because I'd watched a few cars go off a few weeks before at a NASA event there, so I didn't push it as hard as I'd have liked to in retrospect.

it costs a little more and you have to have a car that will pass tech insp., but it is much more driving and much more hands on....
