I have the urge to make use of my Quattro, and am deriving my inspiration from WRC on the Speed Channel. I'm looking for a nice place to go out and have some fun in the Sacramento area. I don't mind driving if there is a place that is at least semi open and allows some room for error. Anyone know of such a road in the area? Thanks!

it's muddy and secluded...but i strongly suggest that u take it easy.

There are a bunch of roads up near Donner that are dirt and perhaps with patches of snow too. Check out a map and look for the "dirt, unimproved" colored lines.
Don't forget to bring a buddy, a tow strap, a cell phone and a AAA card - just in case it all goes horribly wrong....And maybe some snacks and a blanket if you have to wait. Do NOT bring a girlfriend, she will get pissed really quickly if there is any problem.
