So I went up to Sac today to get my clearbra reinstalled, since all the top surfaces (hood, top of fenders, top of bumper, headlight washer covers) were pretty splotchy (as mentioned in previous posts). Nice little no-traffic in the AM drive...

They said they'd seen this (splotchy freckles/etc) on another car they redid (not sure who it was from AW), and in addition to the splotches, the glue didn't come off properly on that other car (so instead of the bra and glue coming off cleanly together, a bunch of the glue stuck to the car)....So first they took off the old stuff on the hood and fenders (weren't sure if they'd have time to do the bumper). As a side note, when I had my hood redone last ~October, it came off totally clean, nothing like this at all (although it was sitting in the sun for an hour or so, plus the temperature was much warmer then)

You can see how dull the bra material is here too.

wheras it doesn't look as dull here (on the side vs. top surface)

Took a little while to get all that glue off, but after a few hrs, my hood and fenders match my paint a helluva lot better than before (they didn't have time for the bumper, and it's not THAT bad, so not too big of a deal IMO). Problem is that the material for the hood had some defect in it (minor crease/dent line), so they redid it, and turns out that whole roll of material had that defect. Since that was their only roll of the big stuff (the fender/etc use narrower rolls), we left that on there for now. After ski season I'll drop back by to get my bumper and hood redone (they'll have another big roll in ~week, but it's good enough for now, and the crease doesn't bug me too much - plus having a fresh install after a few tahoe trips is fine with me).

OT - got a pic of the chimney that fell off in the storm Thurs. (will probably get deleted, but too lazy to find a free pic hoster that allows external linking)

how regularly have you had to pursue the reinstall? All this is included in the original price?

installer in Sac). This time, it was just a matter of me getting around to calling them and scheduling a time. Customer service each time has been good. No hassle warranty. They're pretty sure it was just a bad batch of material.

I have a clearbra, total nose package. And my hood is looking very dulled and pitted if that makes any sense.

I just figured I would have to live with it, should I contact Clearbra and see what they suggest, or is it covered for replacement? I got it installed probably 1 1/2 years ago.

Thanks

I think you were done the same install group as me initially.

Here's some pics of "before"
