I'm thinking about heading up this wednesday, just wondering what the deal is, how many runs, how the event is organized, etc... wnut 09-30-2002, 09:30 PM always wanted to go...but never went. S4Alex 10-07-2002, 10:25 AM from when i used to go.. and i actually might go again once or twice before the season is up.. $20 to get in and race.. as many practice runs as the lanes will allow until 7pm eliminations start at 7pm bracket style racing. most audi's will be put with all the imports (honda's, subarus, nissans, etc..) you will probably get 2 practice runs, 3 if you are lucky and early. depening on how consistant you are, you maybe get into the 2, maybe 3 rounds of eliminations. if you dont know what bracket style is.. here is an example.. you dial in (what you think you will run) at 13.00 secs. you opponent dials in at 17.00 you both line up, your opponents light turns green.. he goes.. 3 LONG secs later you light turns green and you go. first to the finish wins. for the s4's, actually, most turbo's for that matter get faster during the night because it gets cooler. so becareful not the go over your dial in. if you go faster than what you dial in at.. you loose. practice runs.. are just that.. practice. just to see what you can do. you dont dial in until the eliminations start. let me know when you might go.. i might try to head up there. zardozrdr 10-11-2002, 09:37 AM S4Alex 10-14-2002, 07:54 PM more rules: 14sec and slower :Just make sure you are street legal, can have one passenger. 13.00 to 13.99 : Helmet required, no passengers 12.00 to 12.99 : Some type of roll bar 11.99 and faster : Full roll cage. |
