How's this for the next A6 get-together?

<b>Monterey Le Mans!</b>
<i>ALMS races at Laguna Seca Raceway, September 22 (Sunday)</i>
* Caravan down from S. San Jose to Monterey
* Park on-site (somewhere between turns 2 and 5) with an informal Euro car "show"...
* Get 2 people admitted for &amp;#36;40, including a parade lap (after races, I believe), and paddock access.

We would meet in South San Jose, and caravan down... I know a great route down that is very fun and usually deserted -- <a href="http://forums.audiworld.com/a6/msgs/83273.phtml">Uvas Road to 152 to Hwy 1</a>.

<a href="http://www.evite.com/junk@aedon.com/lagunaseca2002">Invitation to the "car show"</a>... use this link to sign up.

<i>(Note: if you received an email invitation, your email address is already in the database, and it will reject if you use that one. Either use another email address, or use the link to the invitation that you received by email, or send an email to <a href="mailto:junk@aedon.com">junk@aedon.com</a> asking how to sign up.</i>

* <a href="http://www.laguna-seca.com/map2.htm">Track map</a>... I'm trying to get clarification of the parking location. Probably paved.

* <a href="http://www.motorsport.com/news/series.asp?S=ALMS-LEMANS">Recent ALMS race results in other cities</a>... this is very exciting. Audi is better than ever this year. Last race, Pirro was knocked unconcious in a crash, but is OK it seems. The Sonoma race was full of spins, including a photo finish, with Audi crossing the finish line backwards in a spin! The French 24 Hours of Le Mans was historic, a 1-2-3 Audi finish, with the same trio of drivers winning for the third year in a row, a first for Le Mans.

Either that, or become well-known to be an alcoholic in the next couple of weeks, so they won't mind if you don't go.

just not by me! Damn it. The bride is way-cute and an incredibly sexy flirt after a drink (a couple of Christmas parties with her...well not "with her" but...). Yeah, maybe I'll try that and then Finman and I will both be going stag to the ALMS races...or possibly sitting together hitting on the 23 year olds at some Vegas casino pool.

On the other hand, Heath puts up with me so well, and I'd be some kind of crazy to mess that gig up!

The wedding will probably be fun; I'm driving, and we're going with another couple (and another major hottie) who are good friends...the problem is I give the bride and groom a year max...I just don't see it lasting...bad to say I know, but I call 'em as I see 'em.

Thanks for the adventureous suggestions though!

... before Letterman makes "that call."

Letterman: You have a boyfriend? Are you married?
Amanda: No. Are you taken?
Letterman: (pause, laughter, pause) I'd have to make a call....

or so I keep telling myself. She was pretty quick, and didn't look like the typical dingbat bimbo actresses.

Healdsburg is nice. Grandparents live up there next to the Russian River. Break away from the wedding and go binge drinking at the local boutique wineries in the Dry Creek Valley!

If I'm not on call or in Seattle or LA, I'm up for the Caravan. I missed (?) ALMS at Sears due to getting soaked in the Bay to Breakers
