Anyone experience problems?

All of us that did the Mt. Hamilton drive experienced higher than normal temps, Intercooler heatsoak & other issues (busted hoses, etc.) It wasn't just the 1.8T's, but S4's & NA cars too...(Steve Sherwood's Miata overheated close to the summit at Mt. Hamilton).

My oil temp never went over 275, stayed close to 250 most of the time.

I was able to keep up in XR mode on 100 octane - barely... and he was short-shifting gears (turning problems - leaned out too much in the high end) and was only running on 91 craptane...

Chip - we need a rematch once the K04's are in - assuming your car is back in correct running order, as well ;-)

but you'll have to wait awhile - I'm going to end up rebuilding the engine. O' course, I expect it'll be faster when I'm done with it too... ;o)
