I just received mine today and the box that they came in looked all beat up(the actual H&R box not the UPS shipping box). I took the springs out and there were scrapes along the top and bottom of the springs. Also, did you guys receive anything else besides the warranty card? Did the rear springs come with the clear tubing around them? And what about the fronts - any tubing there? These are supposed to be new but that just doesn't seem to be the case. I have no idea what the hell is going on but I'm starting to get a little pissed...

IMHO, the quality of boxes shipping any kind of autoparts is gradually starting to stink. The cardboard almost disintegrates all by itself. I understand what you are saying. The H&R Coilover box I got has been easily ruined by my cats claw job (I was storing my old shock/springs in this box). I can understand how your damage happened. I just wouldn't want to be in your shoes...they probably are new...just damaged in transport. If these boxes even get remotely wet...the turn into soup. Regarding the tubing...I thought it was included with the H&R springs. Call Roland at H&R to discuss...he is in Portland OR.
Steve S.
97 2.8QM

I originally got the Race springs (they had plastic sleeves on the rear, I think). I swapped them for Sport springs (no sleeves on either). The warranty card is all that was included and my box wasn't in too bad of shape. However, I agree with Steve...once some clunky auto parts bounce around in a box for a while, it'll look pretty beat up. Was there actually a hole in the box, where the spings could have gotten scraped? If not, I'd tell the vendor about it. Also, scrapes on top and bottom may be an indication that they were installed/removed from someones car. HTH.
CraigB
I just got my H&Rs last week and they, including the box were in perfect condition. I got the sport springs and they do come, at least mine did, with plastic sleaves on the rear. I also just got the warranty card plus 2 H&R stickers. Iwould call the vendor and report it but more importantly, they will tell you that you have to take it up with ups or whoever delivered it. I hear more and more stories of auto parts vendors reselling used parts as new. I'll even e-mail specific vendors in the New England are who have already been caught if you want. Good luck.
