It was very simple. I havent had the chance to drive much yet. Should i notice any real differences. It did seem a bit louder, and i did notice my gas mileage on trip computer went up from 20.4 to 25.2, is that to be expected?

that's kind of hard to believe!!
I'm looking at upgrading my OE panel filter for the next coming spring with a K&N panel. How does the throttle feel, is it more responsive?
any feed back is appreciated...
Cheers,

Sure, K&Ns made a difference on older, non-OBD vehicles. But vehicles with the OBDII has a computer that controls all the inputs and if one is changed, then it compensates by making adjustments.
The only advantage to a K&N these days would be the fact that you don't have to replace the air filter and you just clean the K&N (at least on non-Audis, since out air filters are free for three years).
Some cars will see a very slight HP improvement with a low restriction air filter, but results vary. During non-WOT operation, no performance increase will occur, as all fuel injection systems (OBD2 or older) operate in closed loop mode, compensating for airflow, temp and other variables. Closed loop operation maintains a constant fuel-air ratio to minimize emissions. WOT is a different story, most (if not all) systems do not operate closed loop at WOT, and the amount of fuel injected is not adjusted for measured airflow. Because of this, a low restriction air filter will slightly lean-out the typical WOT programmed mixture, generating a few more HP. Thats because the WOT fuel map is usually calibrated slightly on the too rich side, to reduce the chance of pre-ignition, due to the possible use of substandard octane fuel. However, the slightly rich mixture produces less HP.
After a full day of driving on it now, i must say that i am impressed. The throttle response is dramamtically better and the car seems to be much moe aggressive. It seems to be much more eager to pull through 2nd and 3rd gear at about 3000-5000 rpm. i have noticed that during acceleration the engine sounds louder, maybe due to higher and faster revs.so far, best $50 ive spent
