Last night was the night. I picked up my first car, a 1996 2.8 quattro sport. I love this car!! I had considered buying a Japanese car(acura, lexus, honda etc) but I decided to go with the finest car I have ever driven. I had the privalege to live 75 miles form the dealer so I had a nice long drive home on the LIE and Connecticut turnpike. I got a good deal from Danaldson's on Long Island. Jim Biersmith is the person I dealt with and he was very helpful. Andrew:<br>I purchased/ordered the '96 A4qm new from the dealer. I've had the car 31 months and 59k+ miles. I am still as much in love with this car as the day I bought it. Although lately there seems to be a lot of negative comments on this board about quality and reliability, I have found that my A4 has only had a couple of minor problems...no more than my Hondas had.<br>This car has afforded me much more fun for the money than any car I have ever owned. I am in to driving events with the Quattro Club and various other car clubs, so this car is my hobby and so much more than a means of transportation to me.<br>All I can say is, enjoy your '96 2.8 as I do and remember that you are driving one of the nicest cars on the road, IMO. <br>I am in process of doing some upgrades and the car keeps getting even better every day.
