I actually had a great service experience at Beiner in Great Neck, New York. Called a week ahead of service appointment to parts department. Spoke to Bill, who seems to actually want to help. Asked him if parts for brake recall and side view mirror update were in for A4, said yes and told me he would hold the parts for me. Told him my console was peeling, he said he would order console and it would be there when i brought car in. Guess what, it was! Service department did everything i asked and car was ready at three. Can't say enough about this! Lesson to be learned: Call ahead to parts department to see if the parts you need are there.

I definitely can't say that about their service.. They are the worst in town.. The people there are not friendly by all means.. Really nasty on the phone, and never willing to help. When I called last week for an appointment I had to wait for like 3 weeks.. That's the last time I am going to Biener for service.. Called Huntington Audi instead and got an appointment for next week.. Now that's much better..

What update is this? Would this happen to be the update for the heating elements so that they only turn on when the temperature dips below a certain level? I had my mirrors replaced 2 weeks ago there and they didn't mention anything about this. Second time in <6 months.

Yes, they installed the new mirror as per the TSB 99-02 which has the thermostat in it so it is not on all the time.
