I tried '1999.5' and all I got was the 1999.5 cabrio.I am looking for information on the product freshening changes for the 1999.5 A4.

The archive uses a fairly simple search process. The broader your search keywords are the more info will be available.
1999 changes have 400 or so hits. Changes, model changes, etc, can all help get you there.

There is very little factual information about these changes yet. I personally would call AOA and grill them. They send the dealers updates by fax all the time, so they too should be able to help you. Audi/VW/P all do undocumented changes BTW. That is why we have a 98.5.1 and Audi doesn't bother to advertise the differences.
Good luck

Thanks for the update info.I wonder if I will regret buying a 1999 in january and a month later see a new body style.I have a loaded A4 1.8tqm silver/black for december production, but no deposit on the car.My dealer ordered to my specs so he will have what I need when my current lease expires.Just curious about somones thoughts.

Hi Jim.
I also ordered my A4 to correspond with the lease-end date on my 97 Explorer. I am very lucky because it seems like the arrival of the A4 and lease end of the Explorer will be within a week of eachother.
After finding out about the 1999.5 revisions, I was kind of ticked off because I didn't expect my brand new car to be so out-of-date in a few months (numerous 1999.5 changes). But when I thought about it, I think the A4 is a fantastic car and I am lucky to have the chance to get it, period. If I always wait for 'the next model', I will drive myself crazy. In addition, I would have to rent a car for about 6 months to allow for producton and delivery of a 1999.5 knowing that my Explorer lease ends November 21st,1998.
I will simply be forced to make MY OWN 1999.5 changes :) (i.e. chip, aftermarket stereo, wood trim, etc.)
Just my $.02.
TGB 1999.25 1.8T qMS (In port)
