I didn't buy the old 3 series as I was concerned about it's safety (passenger air bags were extra)and it was too uncomfortable for me.<p>I would have liked to have considered a new 3 series, but because so many people ordered one before they were even available,the wait was 8 months and wasn't prepared to buy without driving. <p>Buying a car is not like supporting a football team, it should be an objective decision based on personal requirements.<p><br>regards,<p>Alan.<p><br>

just gives credence to the theory that most of these people want to buy an over-priced status symbol to boost their conspicuous consumption habits. I doubt most could drive their way out of the proverbial wet paper bag.

I think it's about time to move on once again Alex. You are not adding any value to this forum. It's fairly clear that you love your BMW and don't have a true interest in Audi's. I like to read constructive input from BMW owners, but your posts are not constructive. It's sounds like you are just trying to justify your purchase or are trying to antagonize people. I couldn't care less about the 323. When I see one on the road it doesn't excite me. The 323 looks like something that I've seen already. Except for maybe the front the AUDI is a better-looking vehicle. The vehicle that I'm lusting for is the Mercedes CLK 430. You won't see any CLK owners trying to make any of us envious they have class. <p>PS. I don't think that you really own a 323. If you did you wouldn't be trying to make A4 owners jealous, Unless you are jealous of the A4 HMMM. Either way you are still a loser. <br>

Alex DOES in fact have a 323 on order. He won't get it for another month or so.<p>The CLK430: Mr. Vanos (www.mhaven.com) just sold his M3 Coupe for one! I agree on the class thing in this respect. Beautiful exterior. Very nice. Faster than snot. Weird steering feel, though. Overall, I think one might spend one's hard-earned $50K+ better on a 540i. <p>Also, I'm bored with the bimmer posts, too. Especially the obnoxious, Audi-bashing ones, whether authentic or not.
