Hi folks,
I'm back again after my move to Europe. I took my 96 2.8 fwdm with me. I found out, though, that in Germany the radio stations broadcast on even and odd frequencies. However, my original US Delta radio works with odd frequencies only. Does anybody know a way of switching to European mode, i.e., odd AND even frequencies?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. TIA
Mike

I just went through this with my 98 1.8TQMS. I moved to the UK and shipped my A4, I talked to Audi and all the people at the Dealership that I purchased my car from. The only way to receive the "even" stations was to purchase a "euro" spec radio @ approx. $550. My solution was to buy a CD changer and listen to CDs, works here and in the US.

Concert radios are the same. All US radios are the same for that matter as far as I know. The reason is the Europeans frequencies are different. I think we go by .1 and they go by .09 or something. Anyway some stations that work good on both have a frequency in which both radios have. I personally listen to CDs and cant wait till I get back to the US but the only way you can fix it I think is to buy a Euro Spec radio. I heard cell phones work on different frequencies even. Just bring plenty of tapes or CDs if you have a Eurospec radio in Europe. From the stations I can pick up, they come in very clear and with good range.
Dave
98.5 2.8QSTip
