I am new around here with my blk on blk '03 3.0 6spd sport, what is VAG-COM?

VAG (Volkswagen Audi Group) vehicles.

You need the OBDII port connector (either from Ross-tech or other sources) to connect to the vehicle and your computer. From there you use the VAG-COM software to communicate to the vehicle via the computer.
