Hey guys....just recently bought a 2003 A4 1.8T Quattro.5-speed w/ premium and sport package/Dolphin Gray w/ platinum interior. Anyways....I'm disappointed that I got smoked by my friends 2000 328Ci BMW...and I mean really bad!!! My future mods are Garrett chip ( when it comes out for my car) GFB Hybrid Blow Off Valve and maybe a drop in K&N filter. Do you guys think thats enought to keep up or even beat my friends car? I saw a posting yesterday that a guy ran a 14.9 in the quarter mile...he had a Garrett chip, some type of BPV and an intake with his headlight removed....i wont go to that extent of removing my headlights becuase obviously I'm driving in the streets. Hopefully the Garrett chip will suffice. Does anyone know what the estimated times of the quarter mile would be for my car with just the Garrett chip and the GFB Hybrid BOV combined w. no K&N???? I live in San Jose California by the way....anyone here in my area???

him some competition, but not sure if you'll beat him. Quattro and all that torque will help off the line, but not sure if you can keep the lead. But at least you won't get embarassingly spanked. ;)

2003 chips have a different software than 2002....I have called DSR here in San Jose..it wont be out for another 2-3 weeks.

HEY! I recently bought a 2003 A4 as well and awaiting DSR to have the new GIAC chip for me as well. :) Congrats on the new ride and welcome.

I have 02 1.8t fronttrac w/ GIAC chip and forge BPV. If I got a good launch we would be pretty even, but the front wheels just spin in 1st. Raced him again from a rolling start and I was pulling a little in every gear but he has a box in his car and 1 person. Those damn bimmers are pretty fast just stock.

HEY! I'm not. But what avalon apartment complex are you talking about. My mom lives off of First St in SJ and once I go over there often for lunch. And I notice a new A4 there.
