View Full Version : Has anyone seen or heard from Curt and the TCPM?? I want to buy one and... Rob 11-08-1999, 08:23 PM no one says they have heard from him including the guys at AWE. His webpage appears down and his email address is no longer valid that I have. Thanks Steve S. 11-08-1999, 08:42 PM We all think Curt Redl skipped town with a bunch of A4 owners cash.... Kinda depressing, huh? Sorry to break it to you. Steve S. Rob 11-08-1999, 09:03 PM All that work that went into the web page though, etc.... he emailed a few times. Kinda hard to believe he would do it just to get a few hundred bucks from each of us.... hs 11-08-1999, 10:17 PM what exactly was he selling that so many people put money down for? Steve S. 11-09-1999, 05:20 AM randall (sucker) 11-09-1999, 06:50 AM There is still a part of me that wants to believe that this was not intentional. Having said that: Curt was race prepping his A4. As such he was stripping the car of non-essentials: Interior trim, excess wiring, trunk liner, gauge cluster, heating, air conditioning, alarm, radio, speakers, i think even back seats. As well Curt was developing some data Acquisition systems. This ranged from the top of the line multisensor computer (even monitored shock position and acceleration) to a simple boost guage that used the voltmeter as a display (nice huh). Personally I had bought some door skins (interior) and the entire trunk liner, and some electronic components. I asked him patiently over two months with no reply. At the time I was really interested in how to do the voltmeter boost guage so I just took my dash apart and figured it out myself. I've got a way to do it for very cheap with no permanant mods to your dash. Only for the electrically brave, however. David |
