I saw a report on this forum earlier this year that a new K03 turbo from the dealer was like $900. You can get one rebuilt for around $400-$500 and it will be as good as new. I think the bigger turbos from KKK are more expensive.

Thanks for the quick answers. A bit scary but I'm not sure I can resist the darkside...the dollar to hp ratio is just too good...I wish AoA had a tuning program, I'd pay a premium not to have to worry about it!
Toyota Racind Devlopment (TRD), a wing of Toyota Cars, offers things like superchargers, even for vehicles like the 4runner! WTF is Audi's problem, eh?

For those of you waiting to order after 1.1.00 to get in on the $30 car tabs that just passed last week with Initiative 695 do not wait any longer. I just got done with a live chat with a customer service rep and he said that they will adjust the price of the car to take this into account, ie. forget about the several hundred dollar tabs this year!!!

I was told by the live chat guy that my rep would take care of it once I placed my order. Basically he said that carorder.com would only charge $30 for tabs instead of about $700. Good deal for me.

Hi David,
We are still trying to determine how this tax change is going to effect our
pricing. Since this is the case, I would not advise placing an order since
we cannot guarantee for you an updated price.
I apologize for not having more information at this time. Please check our
website when the new flat tax goes into effect so you will know what price
we can guarantee you.
Let me know if you have any more questions or concerns. Thank you and have
a great day!

Happy Car Buying!
The fully loaded 2000 Audi A4 2.8 Quattro I "created" has a listed excise
tax of $873. WA state just repealed this tax effective 1/1/2000 making the
fee $30. Should I wait until then to order this car? Or will the price
change before then?
Thanks,
David
