when I have the lights shining on my garage door.

Is this normal?......how do I remedy this problem?

Headlights seem to be aligned correctly.

When you stand 25-35 Feet from the front of the car, you can still see that the driver's side headlight is brighter than the passenger one is.

When you neil down to the "headlight level", you can see that the Driver's side light is still brighter than the passenger one.

Please help.

Thanks in advance!

Can't help you without all the info.

You can still see the difference while the high beam is on as well.

Any input is appreciated!

Big thing is while driving can you see OK. If you can, stop worrying.

Possibly the bulbs are different left to right (mnaufacturer, etc.) Could try swapping and see if now the pssenger is brighter.

Might also check the lenses; should ve the letters "SAE" on them showing they're US lights. Wonder if you got a Euro unit thrown in by mistake; they don't say "SAE"

If still worried, go to the dealer and bitch.

The "image" or shape of the light hitting my garage door is definitely different from each other. The driver's side is has a bigger light cast coming from it. As I have said before, when you look at the headlights from a distance, the Driver's side is much brighter.

I noticed the same thing on my 99 A4 1.8Q when it was delivered. The dealer said it was normal.

If you look at the lens on the driver and pass lights, you will see they have totally different patterns. That is why the light produced is different. I don't know the reason for this, but I find it really distracting.

I am going to install the Euro style lights after xmas, with the projector beams instead. Or maybe get some 99.5 lights or Xenons. I don't know yet.

PS. I decided after driving it for a while I am not unhappy with the AMOUNT of light produced (I did raise them a little myself after asking the dealer to align them 3 times), but with the pattern produced on the ground. The light and dark spots are really anoying.

I agree, I find this to be very annoying......I really don't feel like being one of those cars on the road that we all ocasionally see, where one headlight is brighter that the other....

Have you shined your headlights on....say...a garage door and noticed that the light from the headlights have different patterns?

absolutly annoying!

Anyhow, what are these Eurolights all about?.... What type of cost is associated with this upgrade?Where can more info be obtained?

Thanks for your response!
