View Full Version : Terrible AM reception...due to window tint? ch7656 07-26-2002, 10:15 AM Had my windows tinted a day after I picked up the car so it's hard for me to know what's going on...but my AM reception is bad...almost all static. Even if I was tinted with a metallic film do you think that the tint is to blame? The tint guy did warn me that I might have a problem though... It could be that the Avants antennae are different from sedans... Reception is fine in center of our area (Albany, NY), but gets worse in the boonies. It's not "terrible", but I had significantly better reception on my '96 Cavalier, which had a regular antenna (i.e. fixed antenna that stuck up from the back of the car).
