From my recent dealings with Carlsen, I was told that they are reimbursed for labor according to a schedule provided by the factory.<p>IOW, they will only be compensated for the time that Audi expects it to take, regardless of the actual time. According to the techs, they're pretty stingy with their allowances, and the job will oftentimes take longer if it's an unusual procedure.<p>So, it isn't surprising that the dealer isn't always overjoyed to perform those warranty repairs. ;-)<p>Jim

If you make friends with the service guys, after your car is out of warranty they may help you out by attributing repairs to another car still under warranty to get Audi to pay.<br>
