I think that this is often called a "swing" wheel.

An unlicensed, uninsured, illegal alien Mexican driver slammed a Toyota (cops think that it's stolen) into my car's right rear corner. Among other parts (rr door, rr quarter panel, rear bumper, lower control arm) it ruined the right rear wheel and tire.
