View Full Version : Anyone here going to the Audi Driving Experience? Wondering what to expect... beltsander TKO 07-24-2007, 07:41 AM Andy_FL 07-24-2007, 08:03 AM ...GO EARLY. I went to the one that was in Miami, pretty well organized overall. But by the end of the weekend / end of the day, there were a few cars out of commission for one reason or another. So, my recommendation is to book a morning slot rather than afternoon. I'm out of town this coming weekend, and was surprised to be on the waiting list for a MONDAY morning slot. So, we'll see.. Wonder what the demand is like for the $595 half-day....doesn't look to be filling up. If I were to spend $600 on a track day, I'd want to know exactly what I get to drive, for how long, etc etc. I can't believe how scant the website is....no schedule, nothing. Just give us your $600. I actually received a postcard the other day for the Driving Experience....reading it closely, I noticed it said for the 1/2 day you get to drive the RS4 and experience the R8. Tricky wording, and to me, sounds like you may only get a ride in an R8. Pure speculation on my part, but like I said, before I drop $600 I want to know exactly what I'm getting. Andy beltsander TKO 07-24-2007, 11:37 AM i've emailed my service manager at the dealer, seeing if he has more information. i'm going to contact the driving experience number on the website to see if they can give me more info. it would be a different story if we would be practicing what we've learned in the rs4 and/or r8 for the entire time. i'll let you know what i find out! rs4jg 07-26-2007, 11:41 AM and the $600 half day includes accident avoidance, skid pad and class room. The most important in my eyes is you do get 15 min on the track in the rs4 and 15 min on the track in the R8. I am gonna sign up for some time in September. I actually am going for the same thing in SC this weekend free of charge from BMW since my brother recently purchased an M5. 5timeaudiowner 07-28-2007, 12:14 PM I signed up for the one half day for the October 1st 8:30 AM class. Just to drive the RS4 and R8. I called and they told me you end up with about 15 minutes track time (you driving) each. More time with a driver. I only hope I can contain myself in my S4 for the 250 mile drive home. I'll keep the radar detector on. |
