Got the Treo 750. It's WAAAAAAY BETTAR! Smaller, faster, 3G. Only downside, smaller screen but I can live with it until the iPhone comes out.

View Full Version : I've gone to the 'dark side'. All you 8125 users on this forum will understand. Rice Etr 01-19-2007, 05:54 AM Got the Treo 750. It's WAAAAAAY BETTAR! Smaller, faster, 3G. Only downside, smaller screen but I can live with it until the iPhone comes out. Rice Etr 01-19-2007, 11:22 AM I definately like the Treo better. It's easier to navigate, it's appreciably faster with regards to processor speed and it's DEFINATELY much less of a phone to carry around. I know you like the 8125 but I'm betting you'd like the 750 more if you got one in your hands. Driving Excitement! 01-19-2007, 02:31 PM Treo 750 - HTC 8525 300MHz - 400MHz - HTC is the winner 128MB storage - 64MB storage - Treo is the winner 240x240 screen - 320x240 - HTC is the winner 1.3Mpixel - 2.0Mpixel - HTC is the winner Bluetooth 1.2 - Bluetooth 2.0 - HTC is the winner UMTS Only - UMTS/HSPDA - HTC, Treo is limited to 384k of UMTS. The big things I like on the Treo are the hard buttons for dialing (I used to use a Treo 650 for work and could type really fast on it so size wasn't an issue for me) and the the Today screen app they have. It's nice to be able to dial straight from the Today screen and to be able to Ingore/SMS callers with one button. Since I have to deal with touch screens to dial I wish MS would make the buttons bigger, more like the iPhone. Even though the 8525 has the dial pad number layout I don't want to have to slide out the keyboard to dial no matter what. Some old PPC2003 apps don't like the square screen size, I don't think it was added until WM5. Rice Etr 01-19-2007, 04:14 PM Makes the buttons fairly large and easy to press. The ergonomics of the Treo are MUCH better than either of the HTC phones. The biggest thing for me was the form factor. The Treo is much easier to handle. TDI 4XMotion (Lee) 01-20-2007, 02:50 AM ...got the 2GB micro card to go with it. I traded in my Crackberry. I thought about the Treo 750, but the Treo 650 has such a horrible reputation that I passed on the 750. So far I like the 8525, but it's still early. Rice Etr 01-22-2007, 05:51 AM But with so much hype surrounding the 750 I had to believe that Palm and Windows were able to get things sorted out. So far, I've had zero issues with the 750. |
