What do you guys recommend. I dont need anything really superwhammydine, just something I can go out to the driving range to practice on and go out a couple weekends a month and play...
Not looking for any calloways or anything...
Used if possible. Any good places for used clubs, hookups from Disney's House Clubs or anything?
TIA

You're going to get better and will want to upgrade. Knocks offs are worth about $50 for the set. Buy a used set of Callaways or Pings and when you decide you want a new set you will get your money back out of them.
I bought a set of 1996 Callaways for $200. Played with them for almost 2 years and traded them in on a new set for....$200.
Otherwise, I'd recommend a set of Hippo ITX2's over knock offs.
www.callwaypreowned.com is a good place to look. I usually buy all my stuff from a guy in Daytona. I can check with him and see what he has.

i started out with a cheapo set until i was sure i would like the sport / get the hang of it (when i'd be hitting pooly and possibly trash the clubs)
once i was sure the sport was for me i bought a nice set of clubs and i haven't felt the need to replace them (my driver is newer than the rest of my clubs though).
if i could do it over again i may have searched for a set of good used clubs first as the cheapo set of clubs i started with was absolutely awful.
i remember seeing golf store after golf store around i-drive... not sure on pricing (they all appeared to be fairly expensive), but maybe you can look around and find a solid set of clubs used

playing. The clubs I started with were for low handicappers. I became much more consistent when I switched to clubs designed for my skill level.
Cliff notes: whatever you buy, just make sure they are thick soled, perimeter weighted and designed for beginners.
